The Camping Leader qualification is designed for people who love helping others thrive outdoors. You’ll learn how to confidently supervise camping groups and inspire participants to build their campcraft skills, from pitching tents and cooking outdoors to making good decisions in real-world situations.

As a qualified Camping Leader, you can run activities on a wide range of vehicle-accessible campsites, from simple wild spaces with no facilities to fully equipped commercial sites. If you also hold a Mountain Training walking leadership qualification, your remit expands further, enabling you to lead journeys and wild camps in suitable terrain.

This award is a great fit for anyone involved in youth development and outdoor adventures – including the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, President’s Award or Ten Tors training – but the skills are equally valuable for groups camping in established sites or heading off the beaten track.
